Alana Caire, known artistically as "Alana Safiya”, is a self-taught artist, using poetry and essays to illustrate her lived experiences and worldly observations. She began taking poetry seriously at age 16, which she confidently describes as "the first time I broke". Soon after, she vowed to use her journey with healing as a torch, and bring liberation where modern times have brought chaos. Her ardor for all living things inspires her honest reflections about our changing world, revealing what we’ve collectively buried; acknowledging our collective beauty; and addressing what threatens the universe within and outside of us. In her spare time, she dances, sings, and snaps what she calls “genuine photography”.
